About Course

Course Overview: Welcome to the Mandarin Adventures course for Year 4 students. In this course, students will continue to build on their Mandarin language skills while exploring various themes and topics. Through engaging lessons, interactive activities, and cultural insights, students will enhance their communication abilities and develop a deeper understanding of Mandarin language and Chinese culture.

What Will You Learn?

  • By the end of this Year 4 Mandarin course, students will be able to engage in more detailed conversations, express ideas and preferences, and narrate simple stories in Mandarin. The course aims to provide an interactive and culturally enriching environment where young learners can confidently use Mandarin to communicate effectively while deepening their understanding of Chinese culture and language.

Lesson 1: My Hobbies and Activities
o Discuss hobbies and activities using sentence structures for expressing preferences.

Lesson 2: My Day in Mandarin
o Describe daily routines, activities, and time expressions in Mandarin.

Lesson 3: Making Friends
o Role-play scenarios to practice making friends, introducing oneself, and asking questions.

Lesson 4: Inviting and Accepting
o Learn how to invite others and respond to invitations using polite expressions.

Lesson 5: My Favorite Food
o Describe favorite foods, tastes, and discuss meals and preferences.

Lesson 6: Creative Storytelling
